Tortoise Ring
A tortoise ring or turtle ring is a glossy and attractive ornament that is mostly made from metals. It is also known as the Kachua ring and Meru ring. The ornament appears to be in the form of a tortoise figure fixed to the top of a ring.
There are various myths associated with the tortoise ring. In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu reincarnated in the form of a tortoise. As the animal helped in stabilising mount Mandara, the tortoise has become a symbol of stability. Tortoise is also an important element in Vedic astrology and Feng shui.
The ring is usually made from gold, silver or platinum and embedded with precious gemstones. We can also find these rings without any gemstones or other similar objects attached to them.
