Coral Ring
Red Coral gemstone, usually known as Moonga (Hindi) and Praval, which is ruled by the star Mars, is one of the brightest gemstones that is known to the vedic world.
The red coral, also known as precious coral is the most used gemstone form of coral. It is termed as the usage of coral red stone is very much to be beneficial during the major period of Mars. In fact, the terminology of coral colour is derived from the normal durable pinkish-orange colour of many red coral gemstones, which is widely used for making jewellery. Although the variety one used in jewellery is typically pink to red, the most common coral colour is white.
Usually, coral red stone rings are found in oval shape designs, and it is one of the distinct and best suitable stones to be used to make rings. Usually, coral stones are designed, carved and moulded in gold, silver and platinum metals.
Red coral grows on hard and rocky type sea bottom with low sedimentation, usually in dark places of the sea. The original species of the red coral is C. rubrum, which is found mainly in the Mediterranean Sea.
