Om Design
Om is one of the religious symbols in Hinduism. It is a symbol that depicts the crux of our spirit, our sheer existence or the ultimate reality. It is profusely found in a number of old scriptures and coins belonging to different time periods in India, which shows that it was indeed an indispensable part of the lives of the people at the time.Although Hinduism claims the origin of the Om design from the Vedantas, it is carried on and followed in Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism as well.
People wear Om design as a part of their jewellery, in the form of rings, earrings, pendants or bracelets. Wearing a piece of jewellery with the Om design is believed to help us calm down our senses; hence, it acts as a stress reliever. Moreover, it is also believed to bring out the optimist in you.
It is available in gold, silver and oxidized metals.
